(Via Spencer) So, accusations of desertion, defamation, and openly wishing for the execution of a captured U.S. soldier. You stay classy, Ralph Peters!
If only he didn’t have a history of calling for the murder of people he doesn’t like. Even the Fox News anchor tried to walk him back several times, pointing out how irresponsible it is for Peters to say what he said.
As for Pfc. Bergdahl, yes he says disparaging things about the U.S. Army. Then again, so did John McCain… and I don’t recall Ralph Peters openly wishing the Vietcong had murdered him in captivity.
What an offensive, pathetic excuse for a man, that Ralph Peters. I hear he used to be respectable.

This guy should be fired and traded to the Taliban for Bergdahl. There is a related post at http://iamsoannoyed.com/?page_id=588
What’s especially classy is how he says that “we shouldn’t rush to judgment”, and then he rushes to judgment right after that.
What a dip-shit.
I did an intelligence course at Fort Huachuca with Ralph Peters in the mid-80s. He was a pompass as a CPT, and as a retired LTC he’s even more of a pompass. Even then he thought and acted as if he were the 20th century’s Clausewitz, when actually he was just another arrogant, not very imaginative pseudo-Martinet.
Used to be respectable – when ?
He told a land warfare conference in Australia that we need to be worse then the terrorists we need to start ‘enjoying’ torturing and murdering, like GIs enjoyed burning Japanese alive in their bunkers in WW2.
Speaker after speaker after him made a point that they thought he was a loony.
Peters reminds me of a guy I used to know. When he used to hit on girls in an overly aggressive manner, he’d get shot down. His response would be to just dial it up a notch and try even harder. I think Peters feels an internal need to be the hard ass guy and feels that he constantly has to ratchet up the crazy to stay in the limelight.
Or he could just be a dipshit.
