Rocket Attack on Hotel Intercontinental; Wires Silent

A reported roadside bomb and a rocket attack in Kabul—the rockets landed near the Hotel Intercontinental, in the grounds of Kabul Polytechnic University—doesn’t seem to be burning up the wires. I couldn’t find a single AP or Reuters dispatch, and none of the big U.S. papers reported it.

Question: why? Are news wires lazy/under-resourced? Is Quqnoos turning fabulist?

Yes. Given the surfeit of journalists in Kabul it’s dissapointing that even the capital city is left uncovered. There are so many stories to be written but nobody is writing them…
