Turkmenistan’s Acting President Berdymuhammedov has striven to assure everyone that he will carry on Turkmenbashi’s policies. He recently made clear that this extends to continuing to construct all manner of new buildings, reports the Turkmen government’s website. In fact, he plans on having a new project for every holiday.
“In accordance with a tradition formed in the era of independence, we will celebrate our holidays with putting into operation of large industrial and social objects,” G.M. Berdymuhammedov stressed, determining a range of urgent tasks. Large-scale work is to be done, for in the Turkmen capital only sixteen large objects to the total sum of over 300 million US dollars are to be put into operation in Ashgabat on the eve of the holiday. In total, eighty new objects are being built to be put into operation in 2007.
