Turkmenbashi’s efforts at manipulating nature continue. His latest project for reshaping Turkmenistan’s environment is to plant a great forest. The goal is to improve the country’s climate.
Niyazov said his plan foresees a forest of trees stretching 1,000 square kilometers across the country. He said every government ministry is tasked with planting some of the trees within three years.
He also wants that lake he ordered to be built out in the desert finished quicker.

I wonder how that project for the big lake in the desert is going? Or the palace made out of ice?
It all does remind one of that Chocolate Palace scene in the Johnny Depp version of ‘Willy Wonka’.
Manipulating the news – not sure; manipulating the news – looks more likely. No offense.
Again, me, them? What’s your point? Did he not say he wants a forest planted?
Oops, typo: manipulating the nature – not sure; manipulating the news – more likely. The latter refers to your original source (RFERL) not you.
Got it now? See, you don’t have to be defensive.
No, I actually feel like I must. If someone is being critical, I like to see clarity.
So, did he or did he not say these things? How is RFE/RL manipulating the story?
Just responded above. Let me know if not clear still. Thanks.
